The entry ballot may have closed in February, but you could still be in with a chance of winning a place alongside the elite athletes, celebrities and 52,000 people participating in the 2009 BUPA Great North Run.
With the world's biggest half-marathon now just 10 weeks away, we've teamed up with Powerade - the official sports drink and performance partner of the BUPA Great North Run - to offer 30 lucky members the chance to take part in the world-famous race in Newcastle on Sunday September 20 2009. With thousands of hopeful runners missing out in the February ballot, this could be your last chance to take part in the iconic event.
Anyone taking part in the 2009 BUPA Great North Run will for the first time have the chance to be hydrated by Powerade. The scientifically developed isotonic sports drink will be provided to all Great Run participants along with essential hydration and training advice before, during and after each event.
Powerade is specially formulated to ensure peak performance is maintained through hydration. Powerade has been scientifically designed to offset the impact of dehydration by replacing fluids and body salts lost during exercise.
As the official hydration partner of the Great Events Series, Team GB, the RFU and The Football League Powerade works closely with elite coaches and scientists to ensure their athletes remain hydrated and energised both in training and in competition. For more information please visit www.poweradegb.com.
