Some of Britain's favourite athletes will be missing out on the Commonwealth Games in Delhi. If you can't get enough of Jessica Ennis, Mo Farah, Lisa Dobriskey or Martyn Rooney, it looks like you'll just have to wait until next season.

The good news is that with Britain's depth of sporting talent the games in Delhi should be a chance to watch some familiar faces - and talent spot a new generation of stars.

At the end of these Games - if they go ahead smoothly - there are guaranteed to be some surprise medallists. For now though here are the English, Scottish, Northern Irish and Welsh athletes we can't wait to see on the starting line.
