Run for Charity and Crewroom have clubbed together with this brand new scheme to revolutionise charity running.

A money-saving scheme has been launched to revolutionise the way charities can cut unnecessary expense and still provide entrants with quality race day kit. The brand new scheme is set to save charities more than £100,000 this year.

A free T-shirt with race entry is an excellent incentive when signing up to events but it all too often winds up in an oversized cotton T only suitable for painting and decorating purposes. On a quest to find a solution that provides the participant with a performance quality vest without leaving the charity out of pocket, Mark Ussher, co-founder of Run for Charity teamed up with Crewroom to design this latest initiative. 

The principle is simple and has kicked off to a great start. It currently involved charities across the country teaming up to form a ‘buying supergroup’ thus enabling them to buy quality race shirts in bulk at low prices.

Speaking on the benefits Ussher said: “Strength in numbers will save over £3,000 per charity on an order of 1,000 vests. We believe we will help save over £100,000 in the next 12 months through this programme.

“It will also be good to think that the scheme will ensure that every charity runner in one of our vests will know that even more of their money has gone towards supporting the cause they are so passionate about.”
