Location: Borrowdale Valley, Lake District, Cumbria

Runner: Rachel Platt
The Experience: Seathwaite village is a popular starting point for the ascent of some of the Lake District’s finest peaks, including Scafell Pike and Great Gable.
The gruelling 17-mile-long Borrowdale Fell Run, which includes 2,000m of ascent, weaves across stunning terrain. ‘Who wouldn’t want to run here?’ says Platt.
