How the results were calculated

This list was calculated using ratings given by respondents on www.runnersworld.co.uk after they took part in the races. We worked out the average of the 'overall' rating runners gave races, to arrive at a figure between 0 and 100%, allowing us to rank them. This chart represents races that received between 25 and 49 responses.

Great, incredible, wonderful and impressive races to wet your appetite.  Fortunately I have actually ran a few of these races but I was unable to rate the majority of these races on RUNNERS WORLD Web-Site.

 

At the end of the day these are great races.  If you are a running fanatic like myself, you will enjoy many of these great  races. 

Folks I got myself in hot water for requesting dates to run certain races.

 

Runners please note it is never too late to rate your races.

Here are a few classic races I have ran in my short running years.Please note these are the dates for this year.  24. Leatherhead Fire Station 10k November, 2010 26. Weald Kent 10 miles  June, 2010 28. Yately 10k June, July, August 2010 34. ORPINGTON 10k11am  4th July, 2010.  35. Benfleet 15 miles January, 2010 36. Bexhill Seafront half Marathon November, 2010 49. Marwell Zoo 10k May, 2010 N-i-c-e.  What a difference a rating makes!!!

Orpington 10k  is next week  Sunday 11am, on 4th July. Postal entry date  is now closed but Runners World online entry is still open.Ranked 34.  With 32 votes  in Runners World Readers’ Top 50 Races 2009: 25-49 votes Last year’s comments were:- Lots marshals...Very organise....Very good parking...Hilly...Lovely course....Nice view... Fun.

Look out for top man Race Director John Mackay also with his 'A team' Orpington Road Runners Marshals.

Are you up for it?  Hurry, in previous years this race has been filled up very quickly.

I  nearly forgot there are also races for  all the kids!

Ranked Number 23).  7th November,  Leatherhead Fire Station 10k . SurreyA very well organise race.  Thanks to Terry and the boys.  First half of the race is tough and the second half is easier.

RANKED NUMBER 24). 10th OCTBER, PETTS WOOD RUNNERS 10k  KENT.  Extremely  popular race voted number 30th most popular race in Runners top 50 races in 2009 also Voted 9th Best Race by the Daily Telegraph 2009.

Ranked Number 27) 4th October, The Great Clarendon Marathon  and The Great half Marathon. Wiltshire  is a tough marathon which  was rated very highly in  Runners World Top 50 races for 2009. Ranked 48th .

Ranked Number 28). June, Trent Park Triffic 10k   London.  A  Beautiful 10k with testing hills and a t-shirt for a memento.

Ranked Number 29).  April, Darent Valley 10k.  Kent  Beautiful race, hilly the first half of the race.  A unique medal to all finishers.

Ranked Number 45). April, Fullers Thames Towpath 10. Middlesex.  Mostly flat, just watch out for those steps.Beautiful drinking glass for a memento,

N-I-C-E Sandhurst Joggers.  Sorry Bromley Veterans Athletics Club we were not indicated in the results  I did wear my club vest   .(Same thing happened in South London Harriers Informal 10k).
