Where and when?Saturday, October 25, Barnet and Ealing
What is it?
Run London Ragged is a series of two London 10K events supported by the Big Issue Foundation..
The Ealing race takes place in Perivale Park. The Barnet race boasts a location in the pretty surroundings of Trent Park, a beautiful country park on the edge of greater London, easy to get to by tube, train, bus or car. The course is multi-terrain (grass, woodland, road) and fairly undulating.
It’s good preparation for the approaching cross-country season, or just to try out multi-terrain racing. It's fantastically scenic and a lot more pleasant to try out this type of terrain on a mild October Saturday than in the wet and chillier climes of mid-winter. And all just a stone's throw from central London.
What the organiser says:
“The course is so pretty you might not even notice the small hills.”
What RW says:
“An ideal chance for inexperienced runners to enjoy a relaxed environment.”
What you say:
Tom Peel: "Pub nominations, anyone? I'm an out of towner but I do remember it as an excellent pub place!" A man with a plan.
