RW Race Report - Andy Reading 10K

Where Bicester, Oxfordshire
When December 9, 2007
First Man Jonathan Blackledge 31:31
First Woman Jude Craft 36:28

Many runners sign up for the Andy Reading 10K in Bicester hoping to score a PB on the fast course, but strong winds at this year’s race on December 9 created difficult conditions.

The rain held off during the race, but heavy downpours beforehand led to wet and slippery conditions on country lanes around the village of Chesterton and the section of airfield at RAF Weston on the Green.

A paperweight for every finisher was described by one runner as "the best memento I’ve ever received" and the bacon sandwiches at the finish at Bicester Sports Association HQ are becoming legendary too.

Jonathan Blackledge won in 31:31 while Jude Craft was first lady in 36:28.
