Could anyone let me know what the surface you are running on?

Is it grass, woodlane, hardcore trail, etc,?

Thanks

from what I recall it is mainly hard/gravel trail.

Last year I was in road shoes and they were fine although some of the sharper stones left my feet a bit sore. This year I'll be in trail shoes.

Its mostly hard trail with a wee bit of tarmac. There are some areas with loose stones that can jar a bit.

It stays firm even after rain.

Because I live in the area I run parts of the course quite a bit and prefer trail shoes.
