The Village People’s 70s classic YMCA gets any party started, and judging by the lively atmosphere at the Reigate and Redhill YMCA 5, those four letters did the trick there too.
A record-breaking 1,238 runners took part in the adults’ five mile race and children’s fun runs on May 6.
Picturesque Priory Park in the centre of Reigate provided a great venue to enjoy the entertainment on offer. This year’s improved course proved popular with runners despite ups and downs.
First home was 19-year-old Tom Hinds in 28:14, with Lesley Whiley first lady in 31:16.
