RW Race Report - Richmond Castle 10K

Posted: 14 May 2008

Where Richmond, North Yorkshire
When October 14, 2007
First Man Paul Lowe 34:23
First Woman Sarah Tunstall 37:59

Richmond in Yorkshire prides itself on being one of the prettiest market towns in the country, so it was no surprise that the Richmond Castle 10K on October 14 was a tour of the town’s best features.

Runners started in the cobbled market square before heading out along the River Swale, with views of Richmond Falls, before climbing Sleegill.

A quick circuit of Catterick Garrison preceded the finish in the grounds of Richmond Castle, and a beer festival after the race guarantees that runners come back year after year.

Paul Lowe won in 34:23, with Sarah Tunstall first lady – and an impressive ninth overall – in 37:59.
