Despite a lack of hills, the Sospan Road Runners
Multi-terrain 10 near Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, is a challenging course.
Starting in Pembrey Country Park, this year’s one-lap race on November 25 rewarded runners with scenic forest trails and a 1.5-mile stretch of tough but stunning beach at Cefn Sidan.
A cool breeze, blue sky and bright sunshine, as well as excellent organisation, impressed runners – although there were some doubts that the mile markers were accurate.
Steve Millward was first home in 57:55, with Ann Thomas first lady in 1:07:45.
