RW Race Report - Tamworth Heart 10K

Posted: 11 May 2007

Where Tamworth, Staffordshire
When February 18, 2007
First Man Tom Humphries 30:32
First Woman Stacey Johnson 36:32

More than 1,000 runners took part in the third Tamworth Heart 10K on February 18.

A subtle change to the course from last year allowed the final part of the race to pass through the town centre, and it’s hoped that more supporters will turn out to cheer the finishers as the race becomes established.

Most runners agreed that the new route was a great improvement, and the pre- and post-race organisation was of the usual high standard, with the Mayor and Mayoress on hand to present the medals.

Tom Humphries was in good time to collect his, coming home first in 30:32. Stacey Johnson was first lady in 36:32.
