First Man Philip Parry 34:22
First Woman Jo Kelsey 39:37

A howling gale might have created tough racing conditions, but there was still a party atmosphere at the Wyvern Christmas Cracker 10K in Weston-super-Mare on December 9.

More than 1,000 runners – many donning fancy dress to get into the spirit of the occasion – tackled the wet sand of this multi-terrain single-lap race.

The view of runners stretched out along the beach was picture-postcard stuff. Faultless organisation, excellent facilities and a T-shirt for every finisher really do mean this race is a cracker.

Philip Parry was first back to collect his complimentary mince pie, winning in 34:22, while Jo Kelsey was first lady in 39:37.
