The BUPA Great North Run easily retains its position as the UK’s top half-marathon, with Bristol (boosted by being a World Championships venue), making a big advance. Others with significant improvement were Bath, Stroud, Robin Hood, Norwich, Jersey and Tunbridge Wells.
