Weald Park 10k

Saturday 10th September, Weald Country Park, South Weald, Brentwood, Essex

This event is billed as challenging for every level of runner thanks to the few hilly landscape of the route. The run takes place in the Weald Country Park, the largest in Essex at nearly 500 acres. A traffic-free course allows runners to also cover a few woodland paths.

Gawsworth 10K

Sunday 11th September, ‘Nine Acre field’ nr Gawsworth Court, Macclesfield, Cheshire

This course offers a scenic view of Gawsworth Village whilst running cross-country through woods, fields and country roads. The course is relatively flat and would be perfect as a first entry into cross-country running.

Stratford’s Big 10K

Sunday 11th September, Stratford Recreation Ground, Stratford-upon-Avon

This race has had some minor tweaks for 2016, but the old route follows roads past the Greenway, the Racecourse, the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre and the Courtyard Theatre before finishing at Bancroft Gardens. What better way to see Shakespeare’s birthplace?

Andover Foodbank 10K Lake Run

Sunday 18th September, Charlton Sports Centre, Andover, Hampshire

This is the first ever event organised by the Andover Foodbank as part of their 10th anniversary celebrations. The route follows the peaceful scenery of the Chorlton and Andover Lakes, to finish in front of the Charlton Athletics Pavilion.  Why not bring your kids to participate in the over-5s 3K fun run?

Ashtead 10K

Sunday 18th September, Ashtead Common, Surrey

This trail run takes place entirely enclosed on Ashtead Common on an out and back route. Consistently voted one of the best races in the UK since 2009, this race is also entirely eco-friendly. Think biodegradable cups, race numbers printed with vegetable based ink, t-shirts printed on pesticide-free cotton - and a unique wooden medal, made right here in the UK, to add to your collection.

The Wicked Walden

Sunday 25th September, Joyce Frankland Academy, Saffron Walden

Saffron Striders RC annual race is billed as multi-terrain with 90% of the course off-road through the rolling countryside of Essex.

Sandown & Shanklin 10K

Sunday 25th September, Browns Golf Centre & Café, Culver Parade Sandown

This flat course offers you a beautiful view of the English channel as the route follows the seafront promenade from Sandown to Shanklin and back.

Stainland Trail 10K

Sunday 25th September, Recreation Ground, Stainland, Halifax

This multi-terrain course takes you on a stunning lap through the Yorkshire countryside to start and finish at the Recreation Ground.

The Jolly Jaguars 10K

Sunday 25th September, RAF Base, Coltishall, Norfolk

The Jolly Jaguars 10K is part of the Coltishall Jaguars 10K series. Beginning at the old RAF Base in Coltishall, the course is brand new for 2016. As the route is relatively flat, this road race is perfect for beginners and experienced runners looking to score a new PB.
