My 2004 London Marathon

How was it for you? - Quotes and pictures from London 04

My first London Marathon and what a day.  This great picture was taken at the end of the South Colonnade in Canary Wharf, just when runners were starting to really feel the pain a bit after getting soaked earlier.

I finished just under 4hrs, which was my target.  Biggest surprise was the crowds at the top of Lower Road going into Surrey Quays, always a shock when there's so many people in a place that you'd not normally expect.

Most memorable moment was going through half way and thinking I was feeling fine - it was the last thing I remember clearly about the race.
