As this was my first 'marathon experience" I was more than happy to finish, but my time of 5-30-38 was a little disappointing. The best part had to be the support I got all round the course from the people on the course they kept me going when I could easily have dropped out.
The worst part was the weather, I don't think I have EVER BEEN AS COLD IN MY LIFE!
I wanted to finish in less than 5 hours but I started too quick and paid dearly for it later in the race. I need to work on my pacing before next time, but all in all I'm glad I did it and the medal has pride of place next to my GNR medal from last year.
I have only been running 1 year so I have scope to improve and I will with the help of Runner's World!
