My 2004 London Marathon

How was it for you? - Quotes and pictures from London 04

Time: 5:38

Best moment: Seeing Buck Palace and realising the end was round the corner

Worst moment: Realising I hadn't had my photo taken with my medal on at the end

Most memorable moment: Having a battle with Mr Singh (the 93 year old) between 16 and 17 miles when we kept overtaking each other.  I refused to let him beat me - pride was at stake.  Silly really - but in the end I beat him by 40 mins (wahey!)

Biggest surprise: It is nothing like it is on the TV

Goal: running all the way and beating time done in Edinburgh Marathon.  Did 5hrs 38. 05 (Beat previous PB by nearly 6 mins)

Do differently: pray that it wouldn't be so wet next time.

How I will be celebrating: start training for the Edinburgh marathon in 7 weeks time!!
