A weekend of running: 17th & 18th May

by Annie Rice

Trail running was the big theme this weekend. Did you make it down to RW’s own Trailblazer in Clumber Park? The rain more or less held off and there were many a picnic had and a few PBs smashed. Take a look at the highlights here. If you were running or supporting we’d love to hear how you got on so let us know and send in any race pictures.

The Moonlight Flit in Devon had its debut and saw runners’ head into the night, armed only with head torches to tackle the hills by darkness. Saturday night was also the setting for the first We Own The Night. 4000 women lit up London with a lot of neon kit for Nike’s 10K in Victoria Park.

I took on part of the Thames Path for a six-mile out, six-mile back steady run to Greenwich on Saturday. And had a well-earned rest day on Sunday. What running ventures did you get up to? Tell us below.

I've done the RW Trailblazer 10K at Clumber Park the past three years and it's one of my favourite races.  Beautiful venue, wonderful organisation, the best goodie bags and lovely atmosphere.  Can't wait to do the next one x

I did my first Trailblazer at Clumber Park, great scenery and a challenging course, and a fun day out with the kids after the event. I didn't bag a PB but happy to do sub-50 mins on that course, I would happily do it again too.
