Our pick of 10K races to get your 2014 off to a great start.
Capital Runners Bushy Park 10K, 19 January
For those who want to start the New Year with a 10K after some Christmas indulgence, this event will ease you back into the race mentality. Taking place in Bushy Park, it’s a flat course with pleasant views and a mix of tracks, trails and footpaths. It’s also traffic-free and a multiple lap route. These conditions make it ideal for first time racers or those looking to resume their running regime after the festive season. Toby House took part in the race last year and said: “If you want a run which doesn't have the words brutal or killer in the title this is for you. A nice park run at your own pace.”
