In short: Long steep hill, road and track, encouraging marshals, friendly atmosphere, great goody bag
In full: There was a really friendly atmosphere within the field and everything was very well organised.
76 runners. The hill was steep, the road and track pleasant, the descent fast ..... but an enjoyable 10k. The route was lined with numerous marshals, fantastic, all very friendly and very encouraging. No view today, too misty. To end, encouragment from the locals was great, a medal, a generous goody bag and a cup of beer made the race a really fun, enjoyable day.
Thank you to everyone involved.

Organisers have asked for feedback - couple of direction signs for drivers please. Sat Nav took us to the postcode but didn't go quite far enough! Fortunately local runners were walking there and directed us - just down the road!!

In short: Great small race on quiet country roads and tracks not forgetting the hill
In full: This was a well organised small and friendly race.
Beautiful countryside and excellent views (if t had not been misty on the day).
Hope to see it going next year.
Some of the bigger 10k's could learn from this one.

In short: Big Hill with superb organisation, great marshalls, friendly locals, generous goody bag
In full: Very well organised and ample friendly, encouraging marshals.

The route is predominantly single lane track with some shingle bridle track: Road shoes are ideal.

For such a small field of runners (76 this year) the local support was very encouraging and helped raise a smile on the way up the 2 mile long, 400ft climb.

The view from the top is understandably at the mercy of the weather and we were sadly shrouded in mist for most of the morning, but on the plus side that kept running conditions cool!

The medal was lovely and the goody-bag generous considering the measly entry price.

And it's the first race that I've done that eschewed the Isotonic Sports Drinks at the end and put on a delightful Summer Ale courtesy of the nearby Crown & Garter pub.

It would have been simply rude not to accept their invitation for an after-race drink and bite to eat!

Thanks to all involved in making it a fun day!

In short: a wonderful race around a lovely village
In full: Mainly on roads but hardly any traffic and nice climb to Combe Gibett location of hangings in the past! A wickedly fast race for the remaining run back to the playing field with option of beer at the finish. Everyone seemed to be smiling and children enjoyed their own races while we were out.

In short: Only my second ever 10k.....and it didn't terrify me too much. :0)
In full: Hi, for feedback; the registration tent not being ready caused a bit of a cuffuffle as everyone arrived at once and they weren't set up. Other than this very minor thing it was great, well posted, great web site, excellent marshaling and the atmosphere at the finish was great, especially meant a lot to me being one of the last home to still have people cheering you on, and I even made it back before the trophies were awarded. As a beginner on her second 10k it was a challenge, but at 1hr 10 min I was thrilled. Thankyou to all involved.
