In short: My favorite race
In full: My second year of running 3FM. Was just as though this year without the mud. Love this race. Superbly organised. Great feed stations with friendly marhalls. Great value for money. Found out from the organisers that the elevation climb is the same as climbing Snowdonia. See you next year!!!

In short: Faultless.......but seriously tough
In full: Had my ar*e handed to me on a plate by this event, oddly finding it much tougher this year than last despite the lack of mud. Various things I can put that down to, but as an organised race this is about as good as it gets. Close parking, nice relaxed atmosphere, short loo queues, easy number pickup, amazing value at £20, loads of feeding stations, well spaced and lots of cheery and enthusiastic marshalls. Great medal, rapid results service, loads of home made goodies at the end. Top, top organisation. The course is spectacular, with wonderful views on a clear day, a mix of terrain - fields, lots of tricky rutted tracks, wooded sections, short tarmac sections and some gates. It is also seriously hard, and was more so on a warm breezy day. The hills you'll encounter here are immense, and there are lots of them - one of the hardest races out there in my view - but do it, it's a great event for a great cause, and finishing will leave you glowing for several days. well done Worthing and District Rotary clubs - top, top job.

In short: Tough course, well-organised race with friendly atmosphere.
In full: Thanks to everybody who was involved in the organisation of the race. It was superb. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and friendly, supportive marshalls/volunteers. Very supportive and friendly fellow runners. Maybe the race should be renamed 'The Tough but Friendly One'. :-)

The course was...well, tough, very tough, as advertised! :-) Miles 18-20 were 'Ouch!' 23-26 were 'Never again' and that last mile defies the laws of physics. That golf course can't be only 18 holes!

I second the thanks to the two chaps at the 'extra' water stop as that was a real pick-me-up.

Next year? Hmm, maybe, just maybe!

In short: AMAZING!
In full: I can't recommend this race strongly enough. The hills are tough and there are lots of them, but the scenery is stunning, the fellow competitors are friendly, it's incredibly well organised and there are jelly babies and cake at all the water stations. Need I say more! A massive thank you to all the marshalls and the organisers for a brilliant day of running!

In short: Great run with a few organisational problems
In full: On the positive side, this is a really nice and challenging route with lots of hills and gorgeous views. Well signposted and friendly marshalls around the route too. Weather this year was perfect. A medal, drinks and a free massage were available at the end. Results were up by 5pm which were chip timed.

A couple of organisational issues though. They had no record of my, and a number of others, entry which meant having to go back and forwards to the car twice in the next field to retrieve and take back my phone to show the organisers my confirmation email to prove I'd paid and then had to fill in a form all over again. Luckily I'd got there early or I would have missed the start. Also there was no proper marshalling of cars on the short stretch of road near the finish line, I had a car pull out right in front of me which I ran into the back of and it then blocked the entrance into the finish field.

All in all a good day though.

In short: A brilliant race- much enjoyed!
In full: A drizzly cold day, so many thanks to all the marshalls, standing out in it, and remaining cheery, a great atmosphere, and very friendly.
Loved the course route, recommend doing this one.
Excellant organisation, everything well thought out, and ran smoothly.
Even toilet paper was being replaced in the porta loo's before it ran out. Very rare at run events, to think of small details.
Nice medal momento, and huge supply of cakes to re- fuel on at the end. Thank you organisers.

In short: Cold, wet, muddy and hilly. What more could you want??
In full: My first 3FM. Absolutely loved it. Cold, wet, heaps of mud and loads of fun. A challenging, hilly course, but glorious scenery. The extra mile is a really nice touch. Note to self, trail shoes are good when running a trail run! The marshals were fantastic - anyone that sits for hours at the top of a hill in cold, wet weather deserves a big thank you. Great feed stations with cake and jelly babies kept me going. This is easily one of my favourite races and I'll definitely be back next year.
