In short: Hot with a short hill in the middle
In full: Lovely event. Excellent organisation on the day with good attention to detail. Good communication over the PA, a proper finish line, excellent and sufficient number of marshalls - all in all a really good day out. My 21 month old daughter even made her debut, running the 100metre dash and even getting a medal.

One thing that's a bit strange is the results are as yet (ie: two days later) not posted on the website, whereas I think they've generally been posted on the day in recent years. This is more me impatiently wanting to know how I did (the heat and the profile made it hard to measure on time alone) than any criticism of the excellent organisers.

In short: Great race in a wonderful setting
In full: This is a tough-ish 10K, which is meticulously well organised whilst still maintaining a village fete atmosphere. it's fantastic value and the course goes through some lovely scenery.

In short: Quintessentially English!
In full: I love this race. It was hot today and I was breathing hard and sweating buckets, yet I was running around thinking how lucky I was to be running through the beautiful countryside of Hampshire finishing on a lovely village green. No chance of a PB on this course as none of it is flat but that's not what this race is about. Organisation was great - again. It's a tough course for a 10k but for some reason I think this scores highly in beginner friendliness. Looking forward to next year.

In full: Very well organised race, not going to be a PB race due to the hills, but they do make it a challenge. Glad there was a nice breeze to keep us cool. Nice friendly marshalls and lots of locals outside their houses cheering you on.

In short: Challenging but Worth the Money
In full: My first ever timed 10km event. The hills made for a real challenege for someone who trains enitrely on the flat, however it was really worth it.

The local people and the scenery made it worth it and our kids really enjoyed the 100m dash.
