In short: I love that race !
In full:
I went to Eyam on 19th May. It is a small village in Derbyshire known as ,, Plague Village ''. In August 1665 People of Eyam isolated themselves when plague discovered there and didin't let the infection spread. It attracted me. I wanted to see the village and wanted to run there in Half Marathon. The course was a compillation of many hills and long sections down among forests and meadows. As a bonus I had a sight of fields and areas of five counties. There were many points of
water. I highly recommend this course for runners and even also for lovers of history. After the race you should take a pint of beer and visit Plague Museum as well. I am coming back to Eyam next year.

In short: Wonderful village organised half marathon with great views of the countryside
In full: This is very challenging half marathon that you have to give a go. The scenery is spectacular, by far the best I've seen on a run. Support & organization of the event is excellent. Drink stations x6 perfectly placed on the course. Just save a bit of energy for that monster hill at mile 9 and enjoy the final mile, down hill, back into the village.

In short: Tough race but very rewarding
In full: Fantastic oourse with stunning scenery and very well organised with seemingly the whole village out supporting/cheering or running!. Not for a first timer though: some of the climbs are tough for a road race. Defo one for the calendar next year

In short: Beautiful, tough, friendly
In full: The toughest half marathon I have run, hill after hill after hill, but glorious countryside Unique in its sense of community, so many marshals and feed stations on the course, profits from the race fees don't go on expensive medals and goody bags but to local cancer charities and village projects including the local primary school. Everyone's a winner.

In short: Hillage, lovely village feel & scenery of the highest order
In full: My first Eyam HM after recommendation from a few of my running friends. I know the village well and some of the roads around it, but I wasn't expecting the views and route to be quite so breathtaking. If it wasn't for the killer hills taking your concentration there would be more time for taking in those views. Plenty of water stations and bottles of water rather than the horrible plastic cups was a nice touch. Great facilities from parking to toilets to baggage drop all with a lovely Derbyshire village feel. And what race could you not enjoy with a pub 20 yards from the finish line?!

In short: Picturesque hilly half - perfect
In full: What a fantastic race, my first Eyam half and the hills don't disapoint. An amazing start around the picturesque village of Eyam then a massive climb to worthy views across the peaks - the scenary just keeps you going. The hills are brilliantly challenging but also a good 5-10 mile of rolling hills before the big incline. Support was briliant so were the many water stations, very friendly and recommended. Runner's don't do this for the PB they do it for the challenge - brilliant race. Back next year hopefully
