In short: It really is the " SPECIAL ONE " In full: Just done this race for the third year on the trot and i love it every time , this year the weather was better ( not so cold ) but the course was muddier and wetter than before which made things interesting . Steve as usual does a brilliant job of organising this and once again thanks to the villagers of Milton Lilbourne for giving me an excuse to visit your lovely village ! This race gives you great value at £18 , a damn site better and more exciting than one of these false obstacle races that seem to popular these days !! Definitely back nest year !!! In short: Fantastic event, One of the hardest but best runs you will ever enter. In full: Mud, hills and sweat is what you get on this fantastic run, the course is amazing and challenging with lovely scenery. Off road shoes are defiantly recommended The tea and cakes are just what you need after the run and the home made cakes, baked by the locals are delicious. Very well organised and I would defiantly recommend this event to anyone. Date of review: January 11, 2016

In short: These races need mud and boy did it have mud. In full: Superb event with a lovely village atmosphere. Well done to the organisers, cake makers, villagers, marshals, Scouts (on baggage)for making it a very special race. Cant recommend it enough.
In short: Brilliant but very very very muddy this year! In full: Cracking race again, as ever. This is always superbly organised. They even managed the rain (overnight, and dry on the day)... If memory serves this was one of the 'harder' years - the underfoot conditions in placing were 'challenging', and not just the hilly bits. I genuinely found the long muddy track near the second water station to be one of worst bits (I was tried by then, and just found it hard to keep going). Many thanks to all who give up time to organise this race. See you again next year. Date of review: January 11, 2016

The cake after is too die for all baked by the locals from Milton lilbourne massive credit to them for letting this event happen every year in their village. The Race Director throws so much enthusiasm in you cannot fail to be inspired at the start line this is a must do event. Date of review: January 11, 2016
In short: Fun, friendly and great cakes! In full: This was my third time running this race and this year was more muddy and wet but great! The whole village seems to get involved to make this a brilliant but hard race, but due to the organisation and cake its worth coming back again next year! Date of review: January 10, 2016
