In short: Very well organised as usual. Very good support along the route, sprinklers, hosepipes & waterguns very welcolme in the heat. Good quality technical t-shirt this year, goody bag full lof leaflets a waste of time.

In short: 1st ever half marathon
In full: Very hilly but the crowd really help you get round especially the hose pipes & sprinklers!
Heartbreak hill is tough, but can be done without walking.
I will be back next year to beat my time.

In short: Love the Potters 'Arf - sets you up for the year!
In full: Gotta love the Potters 'Arf it is tough going, but I find it sets me up for the year by putting 13 hard miles in the tank.

The crowd are always amazing and cheer you all the way.

Keep up the good work people of the Potteries and I'll see you next year

In short: Not for me.
In full: I found the course boring and even the challenge of the hills did not make up for it. I wasn't impressed with the organisation - I entered online and had to pick up my number on the day. The online information was lacking in any detail and I had to turn up and hope I could find where I needed to be. The race information was inside the race envelope - little use as I had already arrived. Technical t-shirt is a good fit, however I am not keen on the design so it will become a throw t-shirt for another race. Too many runners with head phones with no general awareness of other runners. The support en route however was tremendous and the unofficial water points and water sprays were very welcome - thank you people of Hanley!

In short: At last organisers that give you a t-shirt you can actuatually use for something other than painting in!
In full: I am not Stoke's biggest fan but I have to say that the race was really well organised and really well supported. I would certainly recommend it if you are in the area but don't expect a PB - you won't make up as much time on the down hills as the up hills take out of you. I was hoping to beat my PB of 1:40 but only managed a 1:51. Hot day and a hilly course!
