In short: Too many people...
In full: ...For instance, Scooby Doo and Mr Blobby lining up for a sub70 minute? No, I don't think so. For the sheer amount of fun runners, this race would be good, if I positioned myself closer to the front, I would've probably had a much more enoyable race, as it was, I lined up for sub90 and paid the price for battling through the non-runners over the first 5km. The scenery is good, but nothing worth writing home about; you go round Wollaton Hall the wrong way to take it in.

In short: Excellent first half but second half not as good
In full: I really enjoyed the first half of the marathon as there were loads of people around giving good support. The second half was a lot quieter with some dodgy surfaces to run on and the gusty wind for the last 5-6 miles didn't help either. Way too many people were not in the correct finish time at the start so had to pass loads of slower people. Love the medal. Being my first marathon I will probably be back next year to improve my time. I would recommend the half 100% and the full aint too bad either if there was no wind!
