In short: A good race with good PB potential, although I didn't manage a PB this year!
In full: Don't really see the point of running a Hampshire Championship 5 mile race alongside a 10k fun run with both races starting at the same time in the same place on 4 lanes of a track! Other than that I enjoyed this race and will do it again.

In short: Fast course, always a strong field.
In full: A fast course with a good quality field, definitely PB potential if the wind along the shore isn't too strong. Improvements to this race for next year would be to sort out the mile markers (1 and 4 were inaccurate by about 300 metres), however the rest seemed about right. The start was also a little crowded with only 4 lanes of the track used.

In short: small things like the MILE MARKERS 1 and 4 so out by a full .2m - unacceptable for a race of this quality - tried reporting it to RD who siad well done on a sub 5mm and siad garmins are always out.... Im not capable of a sub 5mm
In full: Apert from this with the mile markers, this is an exceptional race with good PB potential, the memento was unique this year in a golden shoe, nice I like that.

Not sure about the compact start this year, but the finish area much better and less congested than previous years. As usual the marshall were excellent.

In short: Well organised; good atmosphere; fats and flat, with good prospects for a PB
In full: Overall, well organised and well marshalled. Straightforward registration. Great course for a personal PB. Liked the golden shoe as a memento - certainly novel and made an interesting alternative to a medal! Thanks to everyone who made it happen.

In short: It's the little things that make all the difference
In full: Yes, it's a fast flat course with PB potential (if the wind stays away), but some things about this race I just can't really forgive. The start, for instance, was a bit of a shambles - why start the race on a running track and then cram the start line into HALF its width? Ruined several people's PB ambitions right there. Then the positions of the mile markers was frankly laughable. I'll take my Garmin if there's a next time.

I could make other criticisms regarding the "value" of the race and post-race memento relative to the entry fee, and the laborious registration procedure, but I'd like to keep it quite constructive. As it's a HRRL race, I'll probably end up doing it again, but I'd like a significantly improved experience next time.

In full: Good organisation, I like starting on the athletics track, will be the only time I ever get to run on one! Nice flat route, lots of off road running. I loved the shoe momento. I think there are a mixture of abilities so it caters for everyone one. I will be back next year

In short: Enjoyable race
In full: Mile marker seemed out for the 3rd mile, but a good race, nice pace and good terrain. Also recieved a lovely trophy on completing for the 65th anniversary of the race.

In short: An excellent race especially if you want a PB
In full: Again a well organisied event, but on the 65th anniversary It was always going to be. Shame people were still arriving at 10:50 and expecting that not to cause a problem, but the organisers were kind and delayed the start 15mins, which given it was a pleasant day did cause any great issue with those of us who arrive on time. Then excellent running throughout flat fast course with only a slight breeze this year resulting in the national standard for 5 miles for the first time. What a wonderful momento too.

In short: Fast course despite the wind
In full: Well worth the 170mile round trip, coming away with a 49 sec pb.

Unusual set up with a lap of a track to set you off, and then some pathy road fare for most of the race, until a 100metre on the track finish.

Quality standard, 28.05 was only 31st position for me today..but what do you expect for a well known race in an area with quality runners.
