In short: Weather made this tougher this year!
In full: A good idea to do races like this for a change from flat road races. Very reasonable entry fee. Support was excellent considering the appaling weather (was good all day except when the race was on!), support also from walkers and local people on the hill much appreciated. Not one for PB's really (I was 3 mins slower than last year) but a good challenge and nice for anyone just to finish really.

In short: Gruelling at times, but the home-made cakes at the end made it all worth while.

In short: First time doing anything like this - exilirating, makes you dig very deep for reserves you never new you had!!! Great for a challenge!! Will be back next year.
In full: Exiliarating but scary downhills - tough uphills. Incomparable to anything else. Will do it agian next year to try and beat time - can't compare PB to anything else. Contitions wet and muddy and slippery but all added to the challenge. It would have been good to have distance markers on the signs as then would know how much more to give - only critisism as the marshalls were great - the clapping and words of encouragment really helped me - thank you.

In short: A tough tough up-hill and scary downhill monster.
In full: Could be great for those looking to improve their flat times. Certainly tested new muscles for me!
