In short: Lived up to expectations. Lovely race
In full: Visiting my home town from my exile in Kent thought I'd give this a go and thoroughly enjoyed it . Lovely race and the down hill gallop at the end was truly exhilerating. Well worth the uphill slog - which was great anyway cos of the views. V nice glass for memento too ... And, of corse, the bottle of wine! Will try to be back.

In short: Another magnificent 7...
In full: This race is one of the highlights of my year and I wasn't disappointed - 4th time of running! Conditions were clear, sunny and cool, with a bit of a breeze, so you could see for miles. This has a downside, though, as it means you can see how far away the Obelisk is as you climb towards it! The climbs are challenging, but the descent along the trails either side of halfway, dodging the mud and puddles, is brilliant, as is the suicidally steep final downhill. Great fun! My GPS measured this as a bit shorter this year, 6.75 miles, but still managed a decent (for me) time of just under 55 mins. Even with the extra quarter mile I would have been under the hour for the first time - maybe its getting easier!! Great race, added to my collection of glasses and loved the donut at the end. Thanks to all at Ledbury Harriers - it's a treat of a race.

In short: Not one for the faint hearted.....
In full: Decent organisation, not a big field, bit of chill in the air at the start but that was forgot by the first hill. Not a race for a pb but glorious views from the high poits a near suicidal downhill to finish, an engraved half pint glass and a doghnut made the trip worthwhile

In short: Eastnor in the sunshine!
In full: A gorgeous sunny day for a great race, with fantastic views over hills, valleys, wildlife and even that castle.
Race was as well organised as ever, with the hills proving just as challenging (one day they'll be easy).
Only question is will the glass momento ever change? I've quite a collection of them now!

In short: Tricky ups alongside near suicidal downs
In full: A very friendly race that was well worth turning up for.
Even though the weather was very hot & dusty there were still some glouriously muddy sections for the big kid in everyone. The only way to descend the last mile from the obilisk though was to switch your brain off & just run!
Great fun & a lovely glass as a momento.

In short: Good but room for improvement
In full: Very tough course-few sections where you could take eyes off the ground safely. Some indifferent marshalling lead to confusion about routes. Could be more to do- lots of kids and families there but no refreshments etc. Love the glass and doughnut kept junior happy!

In short: Great off-road race in gorgeous scenery
In full: Be prepared for some hills, but will be rewarded with glorious scenery. Great friendly run in an excellent atmosphere with a water stop/jelly babies and good friendly marshalling on the course. Needs someone in the car park field Guys or some people will block others in :-) Fantastic value with engraved glass souvenir. My 3rd time this year and well worth the journey to get there for me. Thanks !

In short: Fantastic friendly race in a fantastic location.
In full: My 3rd time here and it is one of my racing highlights of the year. I find this tough - the hills are a real challenge - but there's such a sense of satisfaction in running all the way (even if I'd be quicker walking some of them!)

The location is superb, the organisation great and the atmosphere is warm and friendly, perhaps in part because it is a hard race.

Love it! Will be back next year, aiming to break an hour (1.03 this year, 1.05 last year, so it's possible!)

In short: Beautiful day for a beautiful run....
In full: Was nice to have a glorious day for the run this year, affording us lovely views from the hills of the countryside, the Deer Park and Eastnor Castle.
Good organisation as usual, and everything was as we've come to expect - top quality.
Will come again next year.

In short: Lovely race again, good challenge, beat my time by 10 mins by being a bit fitter for the hills. Thanks to the Marshall with the Jelly Beans, all were very encouraging. Lovely glass for finishers and doughnut too. Will be back again for sure!
