In short: Watch out for the hill - it's a killer!
In full: People there are really friendly, everyone of all ages makes a lot of effort, definitely another experience that I will never forget. Crowborough is a calm town which more than satisfies me, and the support I was getting was more than what I feel I deserved :-)
This 2 lap starts off with a nice relaxing downhill but at the 3rd-5th (and 7th-9th) kilometers when you go up the hill, one cannot run (it's impossible for me!), and should try powerwalking. Completing the race definitely put a huge smile to my face. Bring on the next time!

In short: Amazing marshals
In full: Excellent challenging race. Crowborough should be commended by the efforts they put into this - they had marshals all along the course and I don't think I have ever had so much encouragement in a local race like this before.

In short: Loved the ford!
In full: The delayed 25th anniversary running of this race was worth the wait. Great atmosphere, attractive and mildly challenging course. The ford is great fun, and then there's the long hill climb which it is possible to do without stopping, but is a bit of an effort for a lumpy old -timer like me. I'll be happy to do this again.

In short: Enjoyable
In full: Great race but where are the results! It takes the edge off races when the results are slow to come in.

In short: Lots of downhill, then a killer uphill twice over
In full: My first ever race, really enjoyed it and did better than I thought. The hill was tough but my training was all hill work so coped ok really. Loved the lady on the accordion and the marshals and locals very supportive. Nice big finish with lots of cheering which was lovely. A good day I will remember.

In short: Better weather conditions this year !! Plus a better HQ with good facilities
In full: Would definitely do this one again - the hills did not seem so bad this time around and it was good to go through the ford instead of around. The HQ was much better at the new venue with improved facilities.

In short: Great support from marshalls - tad hilly!
In full: Really like this one - the trip up Palesgate Lane is tough and that much harder because you had to do it twice! Noticeable support from all the marshalls - which was much appreciated - as well as a fair number of locals who turned out to watch.
