In short: Very Well Organised - Very Entertaining race commentator. In full: Hard to get a PB maybe, but I would not say its 2 minutes long like the Description for it describes. There are some long down hill straights to make a lot of time up on. Date of review: June 12, 2014
In short: Lovely trail run with mild ups and downs In full: Third time I have done this race and love it more each time. The course is nicely marked out and marshals were placed in best locations. A very nice touch this year was feedback from the substation marshals of who was coming through to the finish area giving the commentator time to find your name and encourage the crowd to shout you through to finish. Loved that. Date of review: June 12, 2013
In short: Love this one! In full: Brilliant, well organised run in aid of some fantastic charities! Bit hilly in places but very rewarding!! Not a PB race but still worth a good go! Date of review: June 10, 2013
In short: A good mix of trerrain in short bursts with picturesque scenery In full: A well organised event, with a great atmosphere. The route is broken into short sections of terrain, making it very enjoyable run. Coffee and cakes afterwards had the Biggest muffins ever!! This is one that I would go back and do again.
In short: Brilliant In full: First time I have ran this race & I loved it. A little challenging for anyone who is new to running but the course & scenery is more than worth it. The organisation & marshalls are 10 out of 10! Think this is possibly my favourite 10k now & will be back next year. Date of review: June 10, 2013
In short: A well-organised local race which would make a good introduction to trail running. In full: This was the first time I'd entered this race, and I was really pleased that I did. It had the feel of a small local race, but with sufficient numbers of club runners to make it properly competitive (whilst still good for the slower runners). The organisation was smooth without feeling bureaucratic and there was a compere who managed to keep talking without getting annoying! Much of the course is off-road but despite the rain over the preceding weeks it wasn't muddy (a nice surprise). So you're unlikely to need trail shoes unless the weather is really bad. And although there are a few ups and downs, I wouldn't call it at all hilly. My only gripe is that it took almost a week to get the official results up. Date of review: June 18, 2012
