In short: Well organised and friendly day for the whole family In full: A mainly flat two lap 10k through residential streets, part of Alexandra Palace, and a start / finish in Priory Park (North London)as part of the local YMCA festival. Fantastic organisation, friendly marshals, and some good pockets of support but the route does suffer from lack of scenery.
A great day for the family with organised chip timed 1m races for boys and girls split into their respective age groups. Water, banana, and free doughnut at the end thanks to local retailers. I avoided the doughnut but lots of people seemed to want it! Date of review: May 23, 2011

In short: Good Fun In full: Very enjoyable race, great atmosphere, slightly bizarre course (but I guess that is part of the charm). Not a PB course unless you get right out ahead and avoid the bunch ups near the start.
Will be running it next year. Date of review: May 17, 2010

In short: Great fun In full: I ran this for the first time. It's my local race so enjoyed running on home turf. Was beaten by a sprint finish from a gentleman completing his 20th consecutive Hornsey 10k - hat's off to you sir! Date of review: May 17, 2010

In short: Is the hill getting longer? In full: A great event bigger than ever this year as it was the 20th one - now a festival taking over the whole park. That side of it was great but did detract quite a bit from the running - especially the children's fun runs later in the day. HOWEVER this is always a brilliant day, wonderfully organised and lots of fun. The hill up by Ally Park Station is a killer, mainly cos you have to do it twice but also cos it never stops. It really hurt me this year but somehow I still managed a PB. Highly reccomended to anyone who lives in North London but be quick next year it sells out very fast. Date of review: May 17, 2010

In short: A good local race that attracts both the fast and slow crowd In full: It's unusual to get a 10K in the London suburbs and as such this is a fine race that's been going for twenty years. The scenery is nothing much but the festival is good for the whole family. Date of review: May 16, 2010

In short: A good local race In full: I also thought the final 1km was too long. I have since found out that it was 150m over........ A very good race however Date of review: June 12, 2009

In short: It is more than 10k but i was 10 mins faster this year In full: Chip timing was a vast improvement on last year, it does get a little bottle necked but i take that as a chance to get my breath. Excellent support even in the rain. Great local race Date of review: May 21, 2009
