In short: Nice race. Difficult for PB due to many runners. Atmosphere is fantastic. Watering stations was rubish. Not well organised.

In short: A great flat course with amazing support all the way round.
In full: Apart from the goody bag at the end and the car park being miles away this is a really great day out- loads and loads of support, fantastic atmosphere. Definitely doing this one next year.

In short: A certain PB course
In full: I did this because i wanted a fast 10k after being stuck on around 43-45 for a few years. This is a flat course except the uphill drag on the way to the castle on the second lap when it seems a long drag, but i was tired by that stage. The cobbles were not the best surface to finish on though. At the end of the day i was pleased i did this as i got my pb down to 40:38 from 43:18, and i can`t wait to return in the future

In short: Great local race
In full: I didn't see any organisational faults, though I heard of some; great crowds, few marshalls (though the ones I saw were great!). I hate the course, but accept it's fair enough, and having taken 2 mins off my PB I can't really complain!

In short: Great race, just one or two niggles
In full: Third timer and persuaded two relatives to run with me. Excellent organisation, very supportive atmosphere. Lovely medal but pointless goody bag. What happened to the motivating aerobic warm up that I enjoyed in the last two years?

In short: Good course but watch the cobbles!
In full: Years of lack of investment means the transport infrastructure around Lincoln is woeful. We were stuck in traffic on the A15 and I thought I was going to miss the start of the race.

Quite a nice flat-ish course, lots of support, spectators line just about all of the 10kms.
The cobbles at the end are a nightmare, I was glad the weather was good, can't imagine what they would be like in the rain.

Got to say the bit at the end was confusing, could have done with some signs after the finish to direct you into the Runners Village and the baggage reclaim.

In short: Great start to my running career - 1st 10k
In full: This was my first official run so I was a little nervous about what to expect.

Overall, really enjoyed it. Good parking, well signposted, nicely organised, a nice friendly feel, lots of other runners and welcomung for my family who came to watch.

The starting was a tad late but no major hassle and they mixed up the quick and slower runners. The course is nice a flat so I hammer my PB and whilst the course is mainly residential, it finishes at the castle, which is nice - apart from the cobbles. Goody bag and medal were a bit poor though.

Overall a fantastic introduction to racing and with a top 25% finish, happy with my performance. The weather helped a lot though, which was just perfect.

In short: Good PB potential and magnificent support from the people of Lincoln
In full: Great race with good organisation and loads of support from the locals. For next year, please can we have a well-marked walking route back to the car park (I wasn't the only one to get lost in the residential estate) in addition to the shuttle bus, and some sort of energy hit in the goody bag at the end please!

In short: My local City race and 2nd year I have ran it.
In full: Car parking was terrible, traffic queues for 40 minutes and we were an hour and a half early. Traffic leaving was just as bad. Couldn't find the shuttle bus afterwards and by the 100s walking and the half full bus that I did see arriving showed that most other runners struggled to locate them too. Goody bag was pointless. The good bits? Medal was superb again, crowds are great, Castle grounds and race village good, more ice cream vans needed. Loads of pubs, restaurants etc at the finish. A favorite because the feeling I got from finishing it for the 1st time was something else. I will run it again but I might make it a marathon by running there and back instead of getting stuck in a traffic queue of 5000 people trying to get parked on a football pitch.
