In short: Well done 209 for putting the event on despite the conditions.
In full: Lovely mixed terrain route made better (more challenging) by the dusting of snow. Glad 209 decided that the event could go ahead, loved it.
Great value, great marshals, thanks.

In short: snowy/icy but fun
In full: The conditions were challenging with all the snow and ice but the course was definately good underneath it all.. some obstacles for taller runners with low bridges etc and I believe a club member hit his head :( well done to all the marshalls who came out in it to keep us all on track and safe. excellent medal and goody bag not bad.. had a funny named energy drink in it though 'pussy' ???

In short: Good way to get New year weight off!
In full: Small and well-formed. Its pretty flat and has some running on marshalled roads. Last half is virtually all along canal towpath which is too narrow for more than two abreast.
Nice start/finish area. Good PB potential if you keep ahead of the crowds in the first 2km

In short: Great route.
In full: Having done this for a few years this was the best route yet, especially the woodland start. As ever, it ran like clockwork and parking is as easy and convenient as they come. The pie van at the end was a welcome addition. The distance makes this a very handy start of the year training run.

In short: 8.2 is a nice change. Easy and well-organised canalside run.
In full: Personally I'd prefer more off-road. My trail shoes were perfect for the canal and woods but made my legs ache on the roads!I like it as its my home area, so a training run for me.

In short: Brilliant course, lovely scenery..
In full: Loved this course, found the steps at the end a tad tough, will definetly be back next year. Did not appreciate the lady running with the 2 dogs though, kept getting in the way! :(

In short: I live within 1/2 mile of part of the course and know just about every cm of the route but it is still one of my favorite races and would travel a long way to run it!
