In short: Not for a beginner unless they can cope with hills a-plenty!
In full: Really nice change of pace from Reading half with less people, much friendlier. Route was well organised and v well supported especially at the nasty hills between 7-10miles. Finish was nice setting and again very well supported. Hills a real feature!

In short: Interesting course
In full: I always thought Bracknell to be a scenic town, but my first tour in the race was lots of underpass to go through. Nevertheless, couldn't fault the organisation and the crowds for making this a special race. The goody bag was a nice surprise to get a medal, a bag and a towel! Not a PB course but will put my name down for next year.

In short: As always an excellently organised evet
In full: Great day for running and the times showed it. Organisation was like clockwork; hard to think of a single fault though I echo the earlier comment that water stations could have been spaced out a bit better. Well marshalled and great support from local kids with their sponges!

In short: Well organised, lovely finish, lovely support, and great finish line.
In full: I really enjoyed running this race, it is a great course mainly on footpaths and hillier than I expected, although nothing to bring you to a horrified halt. Lots of friendly support during and after the race, great parking, and a great finish line on the lawn of the Bracknell Arts centre. The weather helped but it was a nice course in the main. Great value compared to many bigger events. I will definitely do it next year if unsuccessful with the Marathon ballot!

In short: Who ever said Bracknell was flat
In full: I grew up in Bracknell, so even though its not the most scenic race, it has little place in my heart. Running through the estate i grew up on is nice.
A tough hill to combat at six miles, that just goes on for ever. Lack of miles in the legs after a nasty bug meant the training was lack lustre, but i hit my target so as pleased. 1:45

In short: A great atmosphere and
In full: As the organiser's offspring I thought I'd best give it a go at some point! I had doubts prior to the race due to doing Reading in hideous conditions and was put off running completely. However, having the sought after number 1 I felt I had best turn up! All in all I thoroughly enjoyed it! The course is interesting and the support around the course is fantastic! A community event in which everyone joins in and provides invaluable support (much needed along parts of harvest ride). The organisation wasn't bad either, couldn't fault it.
Much enjoyed and might even enter again one day!

In short: Good but hilly in parts
In full: First time doing this half and only got a pb because I had a friend pacing me all the way round. Its too hilly to be a sure-fire pb race. Not an easy course but nothing horrendous. Loooong hill between miles 6 and 9, really wore me out! But well organised and local for me. Btw I really liked the emblemed towel in the goodie bag - nice touch!

In short: Best organised half around!
In full: I've done the event a couple of times before and it always compares favourably to other half marathons cos it's so well organised- there's a few other race organisers that could learn from this!

The marshals and support from local schools in the area make this a race worth running even if the scenery is nothing to get excited about.

Sure I'll be back next year!
