In short: Lovely atmosphere, but very overpriced
In full: Firstly, the course - as a local to Greenwich Park, I knew what I was going to be getting! Very steep hills (4 of them in total for the 10k), and a killer to any thoughts of a PB. That said, it was my 3rd race in Greenwich Park, so I can include this one as a separate PB now - my best time in Greenwich Park as distinct from normal flat 10k's! Lovely scenery though, and great views from the top.

Organisation - it ran like clockwork - plenty of toilets, lots of marshals (all of whom were really encouraging), and a very enthusiastic announcer on the mic.

The downside was the price. It was £20, which I think is steep for a 10k anyway, but when you consider that the medal was remarkably basic (cheap) and that the water station consisted of some cups of water being handed out (we all know it's impossible to drink from a cup while trying to run), it's difficult to see how they justify £20. Yes, it was professionally run, but without a charity donation in there I just can't see how it was worth £20 to get a £2 medal and a cup of water at halfway.

In summary, I really enjoyed myself, but there's far better value out there - if they made a charity contribution as part of the entry fee, or just gave out water bottles and better medals, then I'd consider this to be much better value for money.

In full: Excellent race along the river, brilliant organisation and despite the horrid weather of snow, sleet and rain , some if it horizontal. Hats off to the organisers for a fantastic atmosphere

In short: Movember
In full: Not a bad little raced , seemed friendly enough , more of a fun run. Very steep hills , ok for the advanced , but I could see lots of newbies that had to walk it. I will give it an 8/10

In short: Fantastic atmosphere, slick organisation, great marshal support, Fun crowd.
In full: A chilly morning, thankfully no rain. Massive crowd to encourage the runners. Loads of fancy dress. Loved the warm up before the race (this is becomming the norm for events - and I like it). Runners were penned in and the start was a bit slow (owing to numbers but I wasn't too bathered as i was considering this to be a fun event (had to really as I was in the mankini - how could i take ANYTHING seriously?)
The marshals were great, good sinage and massive encouragement. The supporters were fun too, clapping and bell ringing. The course is challenging what with the two hills up towards the observatory (done twice). We were a team of 4 (SES Runners) and we tried to keep together. The water station was placed well (I skipped the water as I knew it would be well cold and could present a stomach cramp issue). I was encouraged on with lots of support and loads of wolf whistles and came in a respectable 50 mins. The medal, drink and sweets were good, perhaps something hot might have been better. I got a special prize of a trophy and a T-shirt from the HP sauce people. Loved the free bacon sarnie!
In conclusion - a well organised, well attended, well marshaled event. The route was challenging and the party like atmospher will make this an event to remember. Thanks

In full: You havent lived unless youve run through our beautiful bute park on a glorious november morning, unmissable. The event itself was ideal foe beginners, slightly less so for experienced runners,so many slow and overweight joggers and walkers causing confusion especially on the section where we had to run out and back on a narrow path.Running the 5k at the same time with just a 10 min start was a mistake,it should have been run 30 mins before to enable the 5kers to finish.Very expensive race for just a medal and a bottle of water unless you reverted to childhood and wolfed down the hideous sweets they offered. Results on the website currently confusing ,may be improved soon.Luckily the weather and the surroundings made it all worthwhile

In short: magnificent sunny sunday morning run
In full: Really enjoyed the free bacon sarnie. Some seriously funny fancy dress. Not enough water at the end.
