In short: well done to the organisers
In full: ok, its not the most scenic run you will
ever do BUT everything else about this race
was in my view excellent. even more so when
you consider it was the first staging.
by comparison this race blew the edinburgh
marathon shambles the week before out of
the water.
nice stadium finish, cracking medal and
t-shirt and a goody bag including haribos !!
(love in a bag, they are)
a shower within 150 yards of the finish line
and parking just up the road, fantastic.
a great day out and defo one for next year.
congratulations again to ALL the organisers
and the volunteers.

In short: Thoroughly Enjoyed it
In full: A big well done to the organisers for the smooth running of this new event.

Had a good time plodding along with my friend.

Made all the more amusing by the complete tosser at the start who whined "Let me through I'm an elite runner"

I did chortle when I heard that.

Apart from that, fantastic.

In short: I loved running this race: well organised, great route, fantastic support
In full: This race could become very popular indeed. The course is a mixture of village and greenway, with some good views of water at halfway. The 'journey' was much enhanced by the support and the frequency of water and sports drinks was a big plus. A great day.

In short: Excellent Race, great organisation, weather just too hot
In full: Great race ... although I stayed in Liverpool and had my car broken into the night before which scuppered all my plans, the race completely changed my mood. Definate pb potential but my mind wasn't in it for the first half (despite doing my best 7 miles ever). Weather drained my second half but there were more water stations than I have ever seen in a marathon, and it was bottled, and there were loads of energy drinks. Loved the grand stand finish too, and a fantastic goodie bag ... like what my kids use to get at birthday parties!

In short: A fantastic event, even more so for a 'new race'
In full: A really great day out, a nice if not spectacular course, friendly marshalls and good pockets of support. A great finish area and a high quality medal & tech t-shirt too. I'll be back next year.
