In short: Fantastic race, great organisation, challenging but scenic course.
In full: A big thank you to Blackwater Valley Runners and all the marshalls (especially the scary little ones!)for such a wonderful event.
Will definitely be back next year.

In short: You gotta love the Hustle race
In full: My second year running this great 10 miler.
I enjoyed it as much as ever with a great course, terrific scenery and a Halloween theme. This year was even better with the Halloween themed medal.
I'm suprised more runners don't turn up for this great event. Would love to see some sunshine in 2012 but will be there regardless.

In short: Excellent and horrendous!
In full: Very friendly atmosphere and easy decent group of people involved in this. Lots of smiles all day - made me happy to be here! I suspect that in heavy rain this would be a very tough race indeed, so we are lucky that it was dry in 2011.
Just short of 10m, but quite hard work - few flat surfaces throughout the whole race and the mix of surfaces (sand, deep sand, trail and grass) was unusual. I like the interlink with the 10k race - nice touch.

In short: Stunning Scenery
In full: Oh I hate running on sand and add hills to that and you know it is going to be tough. But with stunning scenery, great camaraderie and Halloween fun it was a great race and for scenery quite one of the best. Mind you I have never been overtaken in the finishing straight by a Halloween Goth in a miniskirt! Will be back next year.

In short: Great 10 miles over sandy muliti-terrain route all within the army land. Very unusual for this part of the country. Good views in places.Good atmosphere with all the halloween shinagans.

In short: Tough, but you gotta smile at the masks hanging form the trees,
In full: What a race route, tough hills, sand, downhills, up hills, through beautiful wood and a downhill finish.
Overall, well worth doing, drove over 50 miles to be there and it has to be the race of the year for me, loved it, and will be back again next year, thank you to the lovely marshals who were plentiful and very encouraging... Well done race organisers...

In short: Sweeping scenery, scots pine forests and lots sand!
In full: Among the best events in the Southern autumn cross country calendar: big open spaces, pine forests, challenging sands - comforting on fast descents - with painted/masked faces on the marshalls (and a few runners) adding to the fun of it all.

Only downside is no social facility to have a cup of tea and a natter afterwards, out of the finishing drizzle, most people tend to retreat to their cars, portaloos provided though (or indoors for wimmin!)
