In short: well done black pear joggers- an amazing race, great organisation and stunning scenery
In full: A briliant first race from the black pear joggers. The race was well organised with encouraging marshalls throughout. Awesome scenery and a nice challenging race- especially the hill climb to the finish! Nice little goodie bag at the end and the free cup of tea was a nice touch. Hopefully this race will take place next year.

In short: What scenery - are there any other National Trust properties that would be willing to hold a similar race?

In short: Scenic, undulating,muddy
In full: My first 10k race, turned out to be a bit further! Couldn't hear the start instructions but it wasn't too difficult to follow everybody in front. The course varied from gravel path, tarmac, forest track to 6 inch deep mud and waterlogged water meadow where a herd of cows joined in the race- they were fast and managed 0.5 km easily.Great Marshalling and water half way. Coffee and Tea before and afterwards was excellent. I had hoped to get a medal in the goody bag, but maybe next time. The results make interesting reading as I finished 3 times along with some other as the race numbers 80-90 had been triplicated and nobody noticed until the end!

In short: You'd never know that this was an inaugural event!
In full: BPJ have come up with a great first time race here, through the Croome Court parkland, and around the buildings and river.
Plenty of marshalls, the chance to 'run with the cows', a unique landscape, and 200+ keen runners made this a great occassion.
There was no memento other than the consumable sort, but you did get a hot cuppa also which is lovely after a wet and muddy run!
Hopefully the National Trust will see the cash they get from it as justification to allow the event to be repeated.
Course may have been over the 6.5m mentioned, but it was only ever an approximation, but the start and finish both running up to the church was a little mean, but worked you properly!
Would love to be back next year.
