In short: Mostly flat so PBs very possible
In full: The instructions at the start about how many laps of the track and the park could have been clearer but in the end were easy to follow. General organisation was good except at the finish where a clock would have been helpful as despite revealing my number at the finish I was not listed in the results so am guessing at my time. Distribution of medals and t-shirts was a bit haphazard and water awkward to get at the end.

In short: For a quick January Jaunt, well worth it.
In full: Looking at previous reviews I was worried but as it was my daughter's first 'race'. I wanted her to get the T shirt, medal etc that we all lose interest in after a few years. We were not disappointed, fast course and fairly well organised. Not over exciting course but she did learn some new words from the footballers we were running around!! Could do with a clock at the end and the results were a bit slow coming through. Second daughter may try it next year, she needs to expand her vocabulary.

In short: Not bad at all for a January run
In full: I read a lot of negative comments on here before the 2013 run so was a bit apprehensive about running. I didn't need to be. Turned up on the day and registered with no problem at all. The run itself is ok. A bit repetative but it's not long enough to worry about really. Ran a good time (for me) and collected medal and t-shirt after crossing the line. For £11 it was worth running, although it was very cold! Only slight downside was the parking. Not enough spaces but that's not the fault of the race organisers.

In short: First race of January
In full: I do run at Norman Park and was interested by this 10 k race. Reading previous reviews, I was a bit worried.. The race itself is 4 laps of Norman Parks, and few laps of the athletic track. I did enjoy this race. Nice tee shirt and medal,it will be nice to have a big clock at end , Overall a nice local race.

In short: Avoid this like the plague
In full: This may just be the worst 10K out there. Start was a farce, course was poorly conceived, don't think I saw distance markers at 1,3,5,7 or 9K. I'm not bothered about the medal, but alot of people are and I didn't see any,let alone the t-shirts. Banana was nice though. Cheap as chips I guess, but parkrun is free and better organised. Oh yeah, course was too long and I stupidly missed the gate on the way back into the track so ran an additional 200 metres or so(can't blame the marshalls for that though). I should have read last year's comments on here before signing up.

In short: Worth the morning out if in the area!
In full: Poor to average organisation - clearly more events people than runners! Worth the morning out if you're in the area but I wouldn't travel far to this one.

The course was pleasant but not particularly fast - a mixture or track, grass and trail.

Ok at £10 but don't do it for the medal or goody bag.

Not chip timed.
