In short: A very enjoyable event
In full: Loved it, but trained well for it,did a full recce and was rewarded with a finishing time well beyond my expectations.
The uphill sections are challenging but the corresponding downhills make this an exciting event that has a few unexpected pleasant surprises.

In short: Friendly, hilly challenge!
In full: Enjoyed this one. It's flat where I live so the hills were quite a challenge but that leads to a great sense of achievement at the finish. The marshalls were encouraging and I loved the homemade cakes available afterwards. (Please cook more next year - the speed merchants had almost cleared the place by the time I got there!)

In short: Very well marshalled
In full: Thanks Roberttown. The support from everyone involved, especially the marshals, was great. Very well organised and friendly. The hills weren't at all as bad as I'd built them up to be in my own mind. Only downside is that it's not a very scenic route at all and I'm not so keen on running on such major roads. All in all though, very enjoyable.

In short: Hard work
In full: Had nothing left in me at the end, but this race gives a good feel good factor afterwards. I found it very hard but it has prompted me to try to get fitter. Thanks to the great marshalls

In short: Hills, hills, hills!
In full: The scenery throughout this race is great, the organisation excellent, and the PA system at the start fantastic with great motivational commentary! Only one problem with the race - why does it start at 12 noon? I couldn't work out what to eat and when, and was starving fro about 3 miles in - not great when faced with those hills!
