In short: Fabulous scenery and atmosphere
In full: In spite of the pouring rain, and perhaps because of it, I loved this race. Adversity certainly brings people together! I got a PB even though the hills, both going up and down, slowed me quite a bit.

In short: In a windy monsoon the support and marshals brilliant
In full: This is a tough halfwith nearly 1000m of climb in 3 big hills. The weather was as bad as it gets. But the, organization, marshalls and drink stations were top notch. friendly and helpfultea and coffee available nice and early pre race.. At one point a marshal was standing in a foot of water to guide the runners round a big pot hole. Well done Marlow loved it Must get fit next year.

In short: BRILL!
In full: This is one of my best halfs! i always look foward to doing this race its a real gem of a course.
The rain only added to the fun on the run itself, i was 5 minutes slower than last year so im blaming the leafs and wet roads on the down hill bits as i was on the brakes the whole time!
Well done again Marlow Striders brill top as well ...

In short: Hilly, wet and tough but still worth it!
In full: To be honest, when I woke up and saw the weather out the window I very nearly pulled the covers back up and went back to sleep. It really makes you question your sanity when you're getting up at 8am on a Sunday to run 13 miles in heavy rain up steep hills and you've paid for the privilege! But by the time I crossed the finish line I already wanted to sign up again for next year.

This race was extremely well organised, excellently marshalled and has a very friendly atmosphere. There's even a plasma screen at the end so you can see your official time straight away. The course itself is pretty tough with a steady uphill start and two very sharp climbs at around the 8 and 11 mile points but on the plus side there's lots of lovely Chiltern countryside and woods to take your mind off the pain and the last mile and a half is all downhill. Will definitely be doing this one again.
