In short: Brilliant
In full: Was in two minds about entering this as it clashed with another event I always do. Glad I did it, one of the best events ever. Weather proved interesting but loved the hills and the general organisation and that compare on the mic....Awesome!!!

In full: Thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed this race. Great atmosphere; great marshalling- they smiled and encouraged you the whole way despite awful weather. Would most certainly do this again

In short: Fantastic again - thanks Stockport Harriers
In full: I give this race a great review every year because this is now the race I've done more than any other. Why?
Fantastic course - track, trail, road, lots of hills. Doesn't look like a PB course but I've done flatter 10 milers and Stcokport is always the fastest. Remember, what comes up, must come down!
Super track stadium start and finish.
There are so many reasons this race "should" fail - the weather is alwats hideous, the traffic is not awlays friendly, Offerton is not postcard material (sorry!). This race is special and never fails. The marshalls somehow manage the traffic whils being among the most vocal in the race circuit.
Another great feature of this race is the sense of humour. The Stockport S[ten]ch Remover medal (made of what looks like Travelodge hotel soap) is pure comedy genius.
Yet another great t shirt - hi viz More Mile long sleeve t shirt. Perfect for dark winter runs.
MAny thanks Stockport, you really know how to put on a good show, even when the weather tries (and fails) to make it a washout.

In short: Loved the race and great fun
In full: Really enjoyable race despite the weather. Thanks to all the marshals for fantastic encouragement all the way around. Tech t-shirt is fantastic (love the design showing the course route), and the "medal" was the finishing touch to the goody bag :)

In full: First ever race had a great time, stewards great, wife said Bob from Emmerdale was brilliant made the day for the wife when she was stood about waiting, I thought the bits I heard pre run were funny and calmed the nerves many thanks Bob. All in all great start with my prep for the Wilmslow half in March. All the bits at the end were great….. banana drink lolly and a super top. Been buzzing all day after a great run 1 hr 20min determined to get down to 1hr 15 next year. New Zealand road is going to see a lot of me in the next 12 months as that’s where I let myself down a bit.

In short: with all that rain should have been a wash out, but mosr certainly was not
In full: Just a great way to spend a morning, some great stories of the challenge. The only downside the water station was stolen but the marshalls and nearby catteryy/kennels did wonders to give everyone who wanted a drink.
Will be back next year.
