In short: Pretty route through rolling hills of Surrey.
In full: 3rd time for me and PB this year. Always hot so quite a tough course with the hills but not too extreme. Always has a good turn out with mix of abilities. Very well organised with nice finish on rugby field. Took advantage of facilities and had a shower afterwards which was freezing cold and very much appreciated. Nice friendly marshalls, clear mile markers and chip timing.

In short: Super race with global warming temperatures
In full: If you ran the London Marathon in April '07, you'll be used to warm races by now - and today's Dorking 10 was certainly another toasty one. Nevertheless, it was a terrific race, with a lot to offer both quick front runners and those who wanted to run slowly enough to take in the picture postcard views. The atmosphere was excellent, very exciting but also warm and welcoming. The marshalls were top-notch. Great T-short, too! Well done and thanks to the Dorking and Mole Valley AC - I shall be running this one again, blazing sun notwithstanding!

In short: Phew what a scorcher!
In full: I also have to be British and comment on the weather - yes it was hot but it made you appreciate the shady parts of the course all the more, and there was plenty of water that was handed out very efficiently.
Lovely scenery to sdmire on the way round, lots of hills but none too extreme and a fair amount of downs to go with the ups.
The course was extremely well marshalled and signposted, and the start and finish were pretty faultless too. Thank you and well done Dorking and Mole Valley AC.
Nice t shirt in a range of sizes including small hoorah! - SO happy to get one I can actually wear for a change! Lovely cake and the prize giving was done with utmost efficiency.
My favourite thing about this race? The men's toilet queue was about ten times longer than the ladies!

In full: As a true Brit I'll talk about the weather - it was hot, but I loved it. Always have loved the sunshine, always will and never have had any qualms racing in it - I adore running in it. I know people will point out the heat (I'm presuming the likelihood), but this is out of the organisers hands, and personally if you don't like it, go race in Sweden/Norway/Finland in June instead.
First time I've raced it, and have heard lots by proxy about it, but found out the course had changed slightly and the results service is in the hands of pro (apparently the results last year was a sticking point). This year, no real problems.
I didn't actually race this, and had no real plans to do it originally but really very glad I did. The setting was great, nice road underfoot, very undulating and fantastic views of Box Hill, and a lovely start by a Village green.
Marshalls were great and AntBliss and his photo peeps seemed to live in all the bushes and trees. Great signing, the mile markers, albeit small and on the side of the road were totally visible, every one. I overheard at the end how a couple of people had complained that they had got lost - HOW? It always amazes me the stuff I hear post race. Considering the signage, the marshalling and the maps available before hand, if you got lost it's your own fault.
Nice t-shirts at the end, great pavilion facilities, speedy results and prize giving, baggage facility, ample parking I can't really find fault with this race. I presume that the organisers have listened and corrected previous problems.
I'm sure the Race Director will be happy to know I kept my promise to post my opinions on here, and I'd like to say that the Gold Trophy is going pride of place at work - I shall keept it shiny forever.

In full: This race is the Dorking 10m, starting in the village of Brockham - not to be confused with the new Dorking 10k which starts steeply uphill in Denbies vineyard - a different race altogether!

In short: A tough 10k course which would be dangerous when wet !
In full: I really enjoyed the race but it's tough and one downhill section in the vineyard would have caused a lot of problems if it had been wet. A bit too much waffle on the tannoy at the start to, resulting in a false start (not that they called anyone back). A fun run it was and it would be harsh to say anything too derogatory for that very reason. Well done to all concerned. I will be back in 2007

In short: great course, the first lap is a bit of problem going up the hill if you get stuck behind slower runners.

In short: Good race
In full: Despite my own pathetic performance this year, I still think this is a good race - fair course, friendly marshalls, pleasant scenery, excellent parking, nice cake. The start was a bit chaotic, and we could at least have had a countdown and siren blasting, to give some atmosphere. The water stations were more important than ever in the heat. I know it increases costs, but bottles/pouches are SO much better than half-filled plastic cups.
Overall, thanks to everyone who organises this good event.
