In short: Fabulous - really pushed my levels of fitness and endurance!
In full: A really fantastic route which really pushed me. It took a shower and a bath to finally wash the mud off. All of the other runners were friendly but there seemed to be a bit of a lack of atmosphere from the supporters at the finish.

In short: Best event of the year!!!
In full: Fantastic fun and a great atmosphere! First few miles were relatively easy trails, until the first bog where I was up to my waist in very smelly mud! Then the fun started and it got a lot harder.

Water stop was in the wrong place in my opinion and would have been better placed a couple of miles further on.

Cant wait until next year! :)

In short: A real test of toughness! Brilliant fun.
In full: Much tougher than I could possibly have imagined. Felt cosy in the knowledge that I know my way around Delamere... Nothing could have prepared me for this though. Went well off the beaten track, most of it I've never ventured on mountain bike let alone foot. Only gripe is the t-shirt which was tent-like for a small and ought to have been 'technical' with Puma behind it.

In full: An energy-sapping, wet, muddy and potentially spirit-crushing course.

See you again next year, I loved every second!

In short: swamps and mud and hills, just what the doctor ordered (not!)
In full: What a great event. Entered as soon as it was open fortunately as I might noy have gone to compete. The fact I had entered spurred me on over last 4 weeks to regain my fitness since I had a kidney removed! A very inspirational race!! Ray Mears is correct, peat bogs are very sterile places to wallow. Thanks to all staff at Rochdale Hospital, as well as the marshalls on the day. Pain is only the weakness (or your kidney) coming out
HA HA! see you next year at the front.

In short: mud bath with lots of laughs
In full: first hellrunner - and last - just too hard for me, the bogs and hills were just energy sapping. BUT the team spirit was amazing - felt like we were all in it together, and the scenery really was special. I enjoyed a lot of it and will wear the t shirt with pride!
