In short: A positive experience for this first timer at half marathon distance.
In full: Very well organised event with a scenic, rural centre section. Hill towards the end not a bad as I'd feared. I found the other runners cheerful and supportive. This was my first half marathon and proved to be a very positive experience. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again in future years. Well worth it.

In short: Oragnisation first class, well surpoted.
In full: Did 1/2 good route, only minus point really was cloack not working at end. Everyone, mentions the hill between 11 and 12 miles which is challenging, but no one mentions the plus side almost totally downhill for last 1.1 mile, good if you have any energy left.

In short: Good Solid Event
In full: Really can't fault this race, have completed full and half several times since about 1991 as I'm relatively local. Dreaded two lapper for full marathon, can be difficult to retain the will to live when all the halfers turn off and you can see their finish line. Overall quite scenic, there's a hump-back bridge in a village where the traffic can build up and some of the dimmer drivers can become irate. Some lovely scenery but rather boring slog on main road back to finish, bit of a hill towards the end. Fair quotient of mile-counters at the beginning droning on about PBs etc but I've also met some real characters around the course too. Some entertaining charity entrants in the past, e.g. sponsored bed push from I think Musgrove Park.
