In short: What a lovely race!
In full: Really enjoyed this, apart from the long downhill which did for my legs. The support though sparse was lovely, and the views of course were superb. I will be back next year, maybe to do the full marathon.

In short: Another beautiful run in the Dales
In full: Big congratulations and thank yous to all the organisers of White Peak again this year. I have no complaints - enjoyed a wonderful run and a PB by several minutes. Its great to be able to run the whole event off road and away from the traffic.

I'll be back...but maybe just a half next time!

In short: A1 half-marathon :
In full: Firm, off-road track, ideal for your fastest road shoes. Quick, scenic and friendly for the first 8 miles. Three staggering downhills in the final 5 miles.

Goody bag & mug at the end. Excellent organisation.

Do it in 2008 - make sure you've done some downhill training.

In full: really good to run an off road marathon. Much better than doing a race with thousands of other runners

In short: Yet again a superb race
In full: The course has beaten me the last two years but I still love this event and will be back again next year. And next year I will beat it :-)

Everything about this race is great: scenery, organisation, friendliness, value for money, ..

Do it. This is what marathons are all about, not plodding through flat city streets.

In short: Great marathon run!
In full: I've done this for the last four years,I'll soon have a full spectrum of souvenir mugs! Terrific organisation from Matlock AC and a spectacular route. It's not an easy run by any means, the first half is a bit of a climb but for me much more rewarding than flat, crowded city marathons. Friends from Guernsey, Southend and London all came up to do it and also thoroughly enjoyed it. It's on my list for next year again. Well done Matlock.
