In short: Extremely well organised and nice flat course. The marshall team make the race - tireless in encouragement.

In short: Once again they've delivered a post- Christmas Cracker
In full: OK so it's not very scenic unless you're into muddy fields, but it's flat and fast (except for the railway bridge - I'm starting a petition for a level crossing). There's always a great atmosphere and the marshals, hundreds of them, are so happy.

I love this race.

In short: Well done Knavesmire for another excellent race!
In full: As usual the organisation of this race was like clockwork. A fantastic PB course with a great finish prise. Thanks to the marshalls who stayed out in the cold to cheer us on!

Hopefully I'll be lucky enough to get in again next year.

In short: Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant
In full: Fantastic race, superb organisation and the marshalls were very supportive. The usual nice warm jumper once finished. Definate PB course. Will be back next year. Well done Knavesmire Harriers and all connected with this great event. Thankyou.

In short: Well done Knavesmire yet again you organised a great race. Its the 4year ive done this race and each year is as good or better than the last, just a shame it was bit windy in the middle which slowed me down (at least thats the excuse) Thank you again

In short: Fast flat course, definite PB race
In full: A fast flat course with good opportunity for a PB. Due to the flatness and the fact this is all on-road this is described by some as a bit boring . A downside of the profile is you get to see a lot of runners in front which never seem to get any closer. Very good organisation in spite of the recent weather, good encouraging marshalls and I even managed a bit of a spring finish. All in all, I would do it again and to bring my time down again for the next.

In short: Great for a PB! Very well organised!
In full: Very flat, which I find psychologically difficult as you can see runners miles and miles ahead of you! I prefer a few undulations to give me something to think about. Having said that, for a PB, this course cannot be knocked.

In short: A good race - but not a great race
In full: The Brass Monkey hypes itself as one of the best half marathons in the country - but it is hardly that. It is a good race, fast and the marshalls were very good. The sweatshirt memento for a £12 entry fee gave the race good value.
But, as one of the best half marathons in the country? Not by half, and I travelled up from Southampton for the race.
The route is flat and boring, car parking was a bit iffy, there was just the smallest of race stalls for Up & Running - and the bottom line is that it's midday on a Monday, and there are no race results.
Don't get me wrong, it's a good race, but it is not the best.
