In short: Love the village feel of this race!
In full: Excellent race, lovely scenery, friendly atmosphere and a great mix of club and non club runners. Was our club grand prix so a great excuse to stay on the village green and have a pint or two!

In short: Fantastic event to suit all abilities.
In full: Interesting, traffic free course, superb organisation and marshalling, pretty flat profile and an unusual distance make it ripe for PBs.

In short: Such a great, friendly and well organised event. DO IT!
In full: Heard about this event last year and decided to do it this year so as to get a "sneeky" medal to wind up my fellow SES runners. Oh how happy was I. This event ticked all the boxes. It was planned like a village fete, and I felt as if I belonged. There was everything for all the family - pub, cakes, stalls, entertainment - it was if the weather was booked specially too. Late entry wasn't a problem. Mens toilets were hillarious (target practice!) Route was a good mixture of road and trail through woods. Not too challenging but the heat added its own stress. What blew me away was that I caught up - yep "caught up" with an 8 yr old boy at the 2 mile mark who was trotting along as if this truly was a walk in the park. He said that he normally did 10 mile events so this one was "easy"! OMG - that kid is gunna be a star. However, having made sure I was ahead of him (for my prides' sake at least), I was well chuffed with the medal. The support was fantastic. Water + jelly babys too. I used this event also to as Bluewater 10k prep. I would say that this event was the best "village" race I have ever been to. Next year I will make a whole day of it - family, picnic, beer - the lot..

In short: Best event of the year
In full: I've been a big fan of this race for years and it's simply the best all-round race event I know.

Organisation, course, facilities etc are all faultless, but what really sets it apart is the fantastic "sense of occasion" that makes it a really great day out, both on the village green and in the village pub after the race.

It's superbly organised, with lots of special touches and is all done with great good humour.

It's unmissable and thanks again to HHHH for another great H5 and I hope you get a big turnout for the "open hash" next saturday.

In short: Fantastic ... once again!
In full: This is a great race and is one of the few "must-runs" in my racing calendar! Lovely course ... supportive marshalls ... beautiful scenery ... shiny medal ... and tea & cake from the W.I. on the green afterwards! Perfect! Congratulations to the organisers once again!
